Our Coronavirus Response

Our offices are still open, albeit with reduced staffing from time to time. So please bear with us whilst we try to assist you. Matters are still progressing and transactions still going ahead.

We are following all available guidance and the safety of our staff, clients and other visitors is paramount. We do have some staff who are working from home but also have staff physically in the offices.

If you are an Ilkley client and cannot get through then please contact our Rothwell office on 0113 2827988 and we can pass a message on for you. Hazel, David and Eric will be in the Ilkley office but sometimes on an intermittent basis. They are still dealing with post, e mails and telephone calls.

Please be assured that at all offices we are able to follow social distancing rules. Our offices are cleaned on a daily basis and safety and hygiene precautions are strenuously followed. We have carried out a firm wide risk assessment and have put protective measures in place.

We are still able to see clients and visitors at both offices, if required. We have screens up in reception and in the boardrooms for everyone’s protection . Along with cordons to promote social distancing. Hand washing facilities and sanitiser are also available.

Home visits are also possible if absolutely necessary. However, these will be individually risk assessed and PPE will be worn by those visiting.

Please be aware that although we are offering a service to our clients that Covid has caused a lot of disruption to our work. A lot of the services that we rely upon such as Mortgage Lenders, Courts and Tribunals, the Land Registry and other firms of solicitors are working at reduced levels.

As a result this will impact the service that we are able to provide clients. This is equally frustrating to both us and you as a client. Rest assured that we are working as efficiently as we can but that there will inevitably be delays whilst we await hearing from other bodies that we have no control over.

Our Free Legal Clinic is closed for the moment but if you have an enquiry please telephone the office to discuss the issue further.
